Position Overview

Travel: 95% Domestic Travel Required

Our customers depend on us to test, troubleshoot, commission, maintain, repair, and restore critical electrical systems across a wide range of industries. We are looking for experienced Industrial Electrical Field Technicians who enjoy solving problems, working safely, supporting their teammates, and doing whatever it takes to successfully complete the job.

What You'll Do

Perform electrical troubleshooting, testing, commissioning, startup, preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications.
Work on low, medium, and high-voltage electrical equipment including switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, MCCs, VFDs, PLCs, generators, protective relays, and power distribution systems.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, one-line diagrams, and manufacturer documentation.
Use laptops, tablets, testing software, and Microsoft Office to complete electronic reports and communicate project information.
Travel throughout the United States supporting customer projects.
 
Travel Requirement

95% domestic travel is mandatory.
Extended travel assignments (multi-day / multi-week) are common.
Work is performed at customer industrial facilities, substations, marine vessels, and generator sites.
Must be comfortable working away from home frequently.

What We're Looking For

3-7 years of industrial electrical, field service, commissioning, maintenance, or power systems experience.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.
Willingness to perform a variety of electrical work based on customer needs.
Valid driver's license.
 
Preferred Background
 
Technical school in Electrical, Power Systems, Substation, Relay Technology, or Utility Lineman
Experience in substation or industrial power environments
Exposure to protective relays and secondary injection testing
Familiarity with Siemens, Eaton, SEL, GE Multilin equipment
Experience working with VFDs and PLC-controlled systems
 
Essential Physical Functions
 
Stand up to 10–12 hours per shift. 
Walk throughout industrial facilities. 
Climb stairs and ladders. 
Kneel, squat, crawl, and bend. 
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. 
Work around energized equipment. 
Work in confined spaces. 
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions. 
Operate hand and power tools.
Ability to lift 50 lbs
 
Required Qualifications
 
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 2–4 years of electrical, industrial maintenance, or field service experience
Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams and electrical schematics
Demonstrated understanding of safe work practices in electrical environments
Ability to travel 95% domestically
Required Safety and Training (Must Be Obtained Within First 30 Days of Employment if Not Already Held)
 
OSHA 30
NFPA 70E (Arc Flash Safety Training)
CPR / AED Certification
Lockout / Tagout (LOTO)
